Privacy Policy
Hexward is a free strategy game. You can play against the computer without signing up or sending your match to us. We do not include ads, advertising identifiers or an analytics SDK.
Data handled by the game
Offline match progress, tutorial completion, preferences and language choice are stored on your device. They are used to resume play and remember your settings.
Online matchmaking uses Google Firebase Authentication and Realtime Database. When you choose online play, the game creates an anonymous Firebase user ID and stores a refresh token on your device. The online service receives that ID, matchmaking timestamps, match ID, assigned side, move sequence and board state. Your opponent receives the shared match state. Hexward does not ask for your name, email address or contacts to play online.
Local network play connects two devices directly on the same Wi-Fi network. The devices exchange the match state and network address. This mode does not use the online matchmaking service.
Google Firebase may process technical connection information, such as IP addresses, to operate the online service. We use these services to authenticate anonymous players and synchronize matches, not for advertising. See Google’s privacy policy for its own processing practices.
Retention and deletion
Offline data remains on your device until you remove it or uninstall Hexward. Online match records and anonymous Firebase accounts have no automatic expiration. From Settings, choose Delete online account to permanently remove your anonymous account and all online match records involving it. This also removes shared matches for the other player. Offline games on your device remain.
If you no longer have the app, request account and data deletion here. Include your anonymous player ID if available. Uninstalling Hexward removes local data but does not by itself erase online records.
